travel galleries by photographer Christopher Holt
15 years ago, Greenwich used to be a more quiet corner - slightly difficult to reach by overground train, full of interesting market stalls and elegant architectural master pieces - quite an unusual place. These days it's one of London's larger attractions for tourists, turning over thousands of pounds (at a guess) on a busy weekend. It's all gone a bit posh, but still retains it's dignity if you avoid the crowds or a swelteringly hot Saturday afternoon. These
images show the Queen's House, the Royal Naval College, central Greenwich, the market, Captain Cook, the Cutty Sark and the area around the River Thames and Greenwich Royal Park.
