These pictures are of Geisha & Maiko in Spring after their performance ceremony in Gion, Kyoto. April is the time that Maiko perform in the main theatre in Gion, Kyoto - wearing their best kimonos, the special make up on their necks and faces, the head dress, as well as those amazing shoes. I employed a paparazzi technique similar to my celebrity work in London. The main problem were those huge shoes which seemed to double their walking speed!
