Travel Photography of Portugal These galleries hold a selection of images from a journey around the south western tip of Portugal - the most western point of this part of Europe. Tourist havens give way extremely quickly to areas of wild beauty, but it can take a bit of local knowledge or just a bit more research. The pictures seen here were taken in late November, so don't think you will always need to go in August for the best weather! I must admit to being quite amazed by the wilderness that exists around Monte Clerigo beach - a coast sometimes ravaged by storms that come straight off the Atlantic Ocean. It's such a world away from the populated Algarve and much of the southern coast of Spain. The surfers seem to know it well though! My stock library now contains hundreds of photos.
